A Relational Approach to Understanding Yourself and Creating Change

My Therapeutic Approach
Therapy Rooted in Awareness, Meaning, Compassion, and Connection
My therapeutic approach is integrative, drawing from, existential therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS), EFT,cognitive behavioural approaches, acceptance-based approaches, and psychoeducation.
At the foundation of my work is the belief that therapy is not simply about reducing symptoms or changing behaviours.
While developing coping strategies and managing distress are important, meaningful and lasting change often comes from developing a deeper understanding of ourselves – our experiences, emotions, relationships, beliefs, patterns, and values.
I believe that each person has a unique story shaped by their experiences, relationships, culture, identity, and the ways they have learned to navigate the world.
Therapy provides an opportunity to explore that story with curiosity and compassion, while creating new possibilities for growth and change.
Together, we explore:
- How your past experiences influence your present life
- Patterns that may contribute to distress or disconnection
- Your emotional experiences and how you relate to them
- The needs, values, and beliefs that guide your choices
- The parts of yourself that may feel conflicted or difficult to understand
- New ways of responding to challenges
- What it means to live a more authentic and meaningful life
I adapt my approach based on each client’s needs, goals, and preferences. Some clients benefit from deeper exploration of emotions, relationships, and personal experiences, while others benefit from practical strategies, skills development, and psychoeducation.
Therapy is a collaborative process where we work together to develop greater awareness, self-compassion, and the ability to make intentional choices.
